Matroid's computer vision platform empowers our customers to deploy cutting-edge AI to detect defects, anomalies, objects and events of interest in their video and images, on the cloud or on-premise, with the click of a button.
Founded in 2016 by a Stanford professor, Matroid has a broad and rapidly growing set of customers in manufacturing, industrial IoT, government and security.
We are seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our office and of course the day-to-day ad hoc requests. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, surrounded by experts who are passionate about their work.
This position is onsite at our new downtown Palo Alto office, located near the Stanford campus and Caltrain.
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee the visitor experience: greet guests, vendors, and deliveries.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Keep the kitchen and common areas organized and fully stocked with snacks and drinks on a daily basis.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repairs to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Help arrange monthly fun social events, quarterly team-building outings, annual company trips.
- Monitor and maintain various office equipment and supply inventories.
- Assist and coordinate all-hands meetings, including setting up audiovisual equipment and preparing materials.
- Assist with all onboarding / off-boarding tasks.
- Pitch in to help with other daily tasks and team requests.
- Promptly respond to requests with accuracy and a courteous demeanor.
- Provide general administrative support to team members as needed.
What you bring to the table
- AA degree or higher with 2 years experience.
- 2+ years of recent experience as an Administrative Assistant, or Administrative Business Partner.
- A self-starter and problem-solver with a sense of urgency.
- Must learn quickly with little to no supervision.
- Work hours: M-F, ~9:00 am - 5:00 pm; on rare occasion weekends to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision.
- Strong written correspondence and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain respectful relations to all the interfaces made on behalf of the employer.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and software applications, with a willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends (including AI and automation tools).
Nice to have
- Previous work experience in tech or at a tech startup.
- Knowledge of computer vision and software as a service.
- Advanced technical skills and/or ability to learn new tech and software quickly
